Anyway, this isn't particularly related to the story in the photos above, but initially I did this to get the bokeh from the lights outside the window (that's the black thing in the background) but my room is too bright and I can't get all the nice bokeh without having overexposed dolls :( So I ended up using some LED lights (which are in a row, haha, as you can tell from the blue bokeh) to make bokeh. Which is kind of a pity cos the bokeh in the background is really really nice. Here's what it looks like:



And yes, that's me. I usually cheat and use textures/filters for bokeh, but this photo is only adjusted for colours and contrast, all the bokeh is real :D Haha. (I've no idea why I'm so excited about bokeh really). I took my reflection against the windows where building lights where on and ta-dah~ But for bokeh in dolly photos, I would probably need to buy those Christmas lights or something...

I was trying for high key lighting which I found impossible to do in my hostel room, so I went with backlighting instead, and it turned out quite well after a lot of adjusting and me taking photos from an awkward position for really long :( I'm just kind of sad that school is so busy, and that I couldn't have done this earlier (like last week) so that I could submit something to The Doll Carnival (Singapore's new doll event in Nov this year) photography competition. Oh well. Maybe next time :/

Clothing woes

I've been trying to find a maxi dress for Tiyana, but it's either sold out, or way more than I'm willing to pay D:
Tree Design's is sold out. The one on Supia is a bit more than I'm willing to pay. I have no idea what stores have good clothes for an old Supia body either. The stores I get boy clothes from aren't the best choice for feminine girl clothes, heh.

Dollmore Ripley Days has an awesome nose. I've never noticed before. Huh. But his legs are way too long.

I'm back in my doll looking/window-shopping phase where I'm just happily browsing everything. Haha. Quite a nice feeling.

Nothing much, editing an old photo, using smudge tool on his lip to get a sort of sneer.

Paying 15USD for shipping a 20USD heeled feet isn't really worth it right? Argh. But I don't have anything else I want from Supia. :( Except heads but no, I shouldn't be getting heads. They don't have much clothes either.

Argh, why? I need to buy more clothes for Tiyana.
