Etsy update tomorrow!

Heads up that I will be updating my Etsy with new bjd jewelry tomorrow! First time I'm doing an update at an annouced time, so I hope everything goes well. And I made pieces for Unoa/Slim mini this time, because I finally have a doll in that size, lol.

Urge to buy my Unoa roar a body. Must. Resist.

Also. I've not even sanded off her eyebrows, so I can't do her faceup. But it's good I guess. Or I would be tempted to get her a body. I think Unoas really are addictive! Which is really bad for my wallet.

I removed the faceups of my Mihos. Really want to refresh their faceups. But halfway through removal, I realise my respirator's filters aren't really working well (I've been using the current filters for a while already). I can smell the strange smells when removing faceup. Which I presume is MSC when it reacts with the isopropyl alcohol.

Anyway, I'm trying to order new filters, but I think I'll borrow my bf's so that I can do the twin's faceup soon. They still need more thorough cleaning in the crevices with acetone, but now that I realise I won't be able to start on their faceups until I borrow his respirator, I'm going to just take my time with removal, lol.

Crew updates 2015

Apparently I forgot to post a crew update?

Here's the crew taken around July this year (2015). I realise there's been some additions after this photo was taken, ahhh. Haha.

Compared to the 2014 photo, the July 2015 crew photo has 3 extra dolls: Joe got a body, Freddie was stealing Elly's body and there's Cypher. I realise that this is the only location in my house that is big enough to seat everyone (albeit on the floor), and I used the same backdrop cloth, so I tend to mix up these 2 photos up sometimes. Lol.

And actually right now there's more additions compared to the July photo. First there's Jelly, my 5Stardoll Jadeite:

And in the meantime, I decided to change Elly's wig:

So actually my crew has grown. Mostly the shift towards smaller dolls for the new additions, but I'm having the urge now to repaint the twins because their faceups are really old. I dressed Hew the other day, and I realise how limited my doll wardrobe is. It's not that I don't have quite a bunch of clothes. I do. But I have so many male dolls that it seems like whenever I do change them, I'm kind of just swapping their clothes around, because I like certain items better. Haha. So yeah. I don't know. The big boys need some loveeeeee~

Was missing seeing Gabby's face, so found a photo from a shoot in July to edit. Nothing much. Also I realise I've not really been showing the photos I took here. Will try to rectify that as best as I can, but it's easier to upload most of my edited photos on tumblr or dA. And I have a bunch of phone photos on my instagram as well...

Omg, I need to stop wanting to buy more Migidolls. I am always tempted by Migidoll Vampire Miho for some reason. And Cho and Ryu...and Owen. Haha, the list goes on. But the weird thing with Miho is that I already have Miho twins, and yet I still think it'll be totally cool to have a V. Miho for Danny??? Like why do I want so many Mihos? :\ Heh.

Also, I took Hew out and changed him yesterday. Gave him a new coat of gloss on the lips (and a bit on the tear ducts), and although it freshened up his faceup a bit, I think he (and Sion) would need new faceups. I think the linework I did last time is already old, and I can probably do a lot better work. But I do like the blushing, so it feels a bit wasted...BUT it's a good time to redo their faceups. After all they've had the same one since 2012 so that's like 3 years. I need to finish up my school work, and bring my faceup materials home from my hostel (brought it there to do commissions during school time) before I can start on their faceups though. Argh, such a long wait.

I'm hoping my urge for getting a V. Miho is because I want to paint a Miho, and hopefully redoing the twins' faceups would satisfy it. I don't really think I should get more of the same sculpt >_< Dannyyyyyyy. Much as I want to sculpt him, I think with my current limited space for storing dolls and limited funds, I should really diversify the sculpts I own, rather than going for more of the sculpts I know I love. Ahhhh. Choices. Decisions, decisions.

I've been thinking about making a doll of Danny, the guy who took in Jack (my Zaoll Muse boy). And because whatever drawings I've done of him are in my sketchbooks, and I'm too lazy to flip through so many just to find it, I thought I'll check my deviantart. But apparently I only uploaded 1 drawing of him??! And it's not even a particularly good drawing of him. His face looks a tad too thin/angular. And I've forgotten how many piercings he has, or where they are. Needless to say, it's been a long time since I've drawn him.

Anyway, with the vague impression of what he looks like, I've been considering these dolls:
-Switch Sohwa
-Switch Waseon
-LLT Edria boy (Maybe?)
-Migidoll Cho (But I kind of want to diversify my crew, and not buy so many Migidolls)
-Migidoll Owen??
-Migidoll Ryu??
-Volks Amelia (Used to be my choice for Danny but too pretty??)
-Volks Olivia (again, too pretty, and I already have Freddy, so trying to avoid doubles, also, eyes may be too big)
-Luts Abadon???
-Dollmore Klode Gaspar? (Just saw him on dollmore and he's kind of generic looking, but also kind of fits Danny?)

Rereading Viewfinder makes me want a pretty boy but I'm not sure if that's the only thing I want for Danny. Like, he's lower on the priority list than getting Freddie and the Unoa Lilin Roar their bodies, but I'm also kind of excited with the possibility of a pretty boy. Lol. Don't think I've bought boys in a while now. I realise my recent additions were girls. Except for Cypher who's a small boy (so he doesn't really count).

Also, I've been considering the fact that Danny needs to look pretty proportionate to Jack. Like Jack is a Zaoll Muse boy so he veers on the realistic-ish side of doll sculpts. So that has been my concern with sculpts like Volks Amelia, Olivia and (maybe) Switch Sohwa. And I just missed a Sohwa ordering period even though I was aware of it. It's like I suddenly look at the blank head and think...maybe he's not the best for Danny. My current fave is Waseon, but like, he's still missing something. I'm not sure what. I know Migidoll Cho (or Owen) can pull off the look, but I'm trying to not buy another Migidoll. Like, I want to try something else, but it's tempting to return to tried and tested favourites, haha. Like, Migidoll Ryu can probably also pull off Danny. But yeah. No Migis for now.

The other day (might have been last week), I put Freddie on Caillen's body and placed her beside Jack for a sense of how the sculpt might work out for Danny. But I guess it doesn't, because Freddie looks too sweet for Danny, lol. Ahhhhh. I don't know. I'm sitting around hoping sculpts that would fit more would pop up. Haha. Eyeing Kanadoll but then again I don't really know. Hmm.
