Nothing much. Some Cail cos his wig arrived, and Zeke cos he got his headphones (I know the 2nd shot of Zeke doesn't show his headphones well but it's there. ._.) The first is edited by me, the ones of Zeke are some programs I downloaded on my phone. Haha.

Darkened his faceup, and he looks much much better now. I love my new Schmincke pastels, they're much more vibrant and easier to use than Rembrandt, since I don't even need to scrape them for pastel powder. Derwent watercolour pencils instead of Omni helped too. But I realise I have a problem with drawing in lashes and eyebrows: I draw nicer lashes on the right of the doll (my left), but nicer eyebrows on the left of the doll (my right). Which kind of sucks, cos now matter what parting hair my doll has, there's going to be some problem with the lines on their faceup if it's done by me D:

Jack with his purple and green streaked hair. Sharpies are awesome but kind of smelly for colouring fur wigs.

On a side note, so many of my dolls' headcap magnets are falling out, it's not even funny. Hew and Sion's have long fallen out. Nat's was after he came back from faceup. Cail's came out yesterday (all 4 of them, which implies that nobility's glue isn't strong enough for the super strong magnets), and lo and behold, Tiyana's came out today when I was switching her head with Jack's. ...I need to get super glue and glue everyone's back. That's like more than half my crew with fallen out head magnets, of which 2 (Nat and Cail) have severely loosely headcaps that will definitely fall out once I lay them flat on the floor. :/

Caillen's box opening [Esthy Peroth]

It's actually not that long since my last box opening, but I was super excited for this particular one, since I've been eyeing a Peroth since a long time ago and didn't buy him because he was selling for much more than I can afford/am willing to pay for just a head on the secondhand market. Super glad he was re-released. Okay, box opening time :D




The bubblewrap isn't super thick, so I can see him from the start already, the faint NS colour, haha.


Box. Similar clear plastic box to the one Leeke gave me for my Mihael except smaller.


And after turning it around, I saw the "Distant Memory" sticker. Oh yeah, I know I still call the brand Esthy when they're supposed to be Distant Memory now, but old habits die hard. Technically he came from Nobility though, which makes it more difficult to call...So he's a Distant Memory Peroth rerelease from Nobility. Lol.

And his neck hole. The resin is the same as my Nobility body. I was wondering if they would use a different shade for Peroth but I guess not. Well, good news for me anyway. Means he can share a body with Nat since Nat's on a Nobility Emotional body.

And with some random eyes (really, the only extra pair of eyes I have)...his brown eyes would be arriving soon. I just need to go collect them from the GO organiser, haha. Oh yes. The resin match is 90% to the Nobility Emotional body I have. Head looks just a teeny weeny bit yellower in real life but you can't really tell unless you are staring, and it's virtually nonexistent in photos, until I told you and now you're probably staring really hard trying to spot any color difference.


And a further shot of him clothed. More for proportions than anything. Caillen is pretty tall as a character though, so he would need a different body, but I should be prioritising Tiyana's body, so he's stuck with sharing for a long long time. Most likely.


And lastly, a close up! It's a bit blurry. I'm rusty from not having used my camera for so long in manual mode.

I'll be busy for a week at least, but I'm going to try faceuping him after that, because he just has so much potential. I keep seeing him as Zeke, but hopefully a faceup would make him more like Caillen (because Zeke is grumpy but Caillen has a smirk, and the sculpt is so obviously grumpy, haha).

Since someone requested for it, I got photos of Peroth in Nobility's NS with a 06 Volks NS. The Volks part is the inner torso part so the only sort of yellowing is the yellowing with age. Volks looks pinker and peachier. But they are pretty close so maybe 80% match? 2nd photo is more accurate in terms of colour.

First time I have a curly fibre wig, and man, is her wig long. I'm not used to dealing with such long curly wigs, and I'm not sure if the wig would end up in a tangled state soon. >_< Hopefully I'll get better with styling it. I need to learn how to tie braids and such, because that's Tiyana's style. But of course I've no idea how, since I mostly have short hair, so I think I'll have to learn it soon.



And another quickly edited photo, because I think the bag she's carrying is pretty cool. It's actually a super small coin purse for humans, that I thought would make a good handbag for her. I bought 2 different designs, and I like the other one (white with green birds) better, but she's wearing such dark clothing so this bag came out. I'm too lazy to change her, cos the S hook is a bitch (stupidly small hole in her head means I have to use hands sized s hook, and those are annoying to deal with.) I did buy a skirt and blouse for her, and that means she'll have something new to wear. And also, I forgot to mention, the purse works. Like it clicks open and closed. And it was like, $4.90 (SGD), so it's pretty worth it.

Honestly, I need to save up to get her a body, and stop just saying that, and actually DO it. On a higher note, supia old body is a good proportion for Vivien heads :D

Zeke seems to match Sion's body (LM type A) better than Hew's (LM type B). Which doesn't really make sense, but whatever matches. Anyway, this is a checkered shirt that I thought was a really gross colour, but looks pretty decent when worn. This photo has been colour edited to bits, so you can't tell the original colour, but my point is that I'm always amused by how clothes look different as is, and when worn, both for human clothes and doll clothes.

For some reason, they look reasonably similar to my naked eye, but my photo shows Elfdoll as a yellower shade? Though I have to say that Elfdoll does look a bit more pink than dollmore in real life.
